About us

Medical Response Training International (MRTI) was formed in 2016 by two friends, Nick and Todd, who met years before while working for the company formerly known as Blackwater Worldwide. The initial premise was very simple, provide cost effective medical training to those who are currently working the front lines (whichever those front lines may be). After reaching out to some other friends and associates, with varying professional backgrounds, MRTI was born. Since its inception, MRTI has transformed into a multifaceted training and consultation organization.

Much like the people we train, the members of MRTI are lifelong public servants. Ranging in age, experience, occupational background, and upbringing, MRTI members personify the ideals of the American public servant. MRTI isn't about getting us rich by selling absurd training with empty promises of becoming an operator; In fact, most of our adjunct instructors have full time careers in the same fields they are teaching.

Our Instructor cadre includes:

  • Navy Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen
  • Emergency Medicine Physicians
  • Navy Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsmen
  • Nationally Certified Tactical Combat Casualty Care Instructors
  • Coast Guard Tactical Law Enforcement Boarding Officers
  • Law Enforcement Officers
  • Firefighters
  • EMT / Paramedics
  • EMT Instructors
  • Current and former DOD Contractors
  • HRST (Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques) Masters
  • CA POST Active Shooter Response Instructors
  • NRA Law Enforcement Division Weapons Instructors
  • Us Navy Small Arms Marksmanship Instructors (SAMI)

All MRTI adjunct instructors have been hand-selected based on their leadership abilities, teaching skills, occupational experience, life experience, and moral compass. Our staff members have patrolled the streets of America, as well as the streets of Afghanistan. We have performed CPR on children in Los Angeles, and we have provided medical aid to earthquake victims in Mexico City. We are just like you. Men and Women doing our part to make the world a better place.

When you train with MRTI, you become part of our ever expanding community. Want to know more about who we are? Feel free to contact us by message, or call (619) 535-8371 and talk directly to the President of our company.
